Definitions of Review Parameters used on this site:

WAF: (colloquial term: wife acceptance factor; more PC would be SOAF J ) The aesthetic beauty of the component, from a subjective, visual standpoint.

Soundstage: The lateral distance between instruments, as well as the longitudinal (front to back) depth perception between instruments. Important for creating an illusion of a live stage.

Imaging: The illusion that an instrument is being played from a definite point in space. Important for illusion of a live stage.

Frequency Management: The degree to which different portions of the frequency are handled by the component. Bass (usually below 200 hz), midrange (200-3000 hz), treble (3,000+ hz). Frequency delineations are approximate.

Transparency and inner detail: The degree to which the subtle sounds emanated by an instrument or voice are revealed. Important for the illusion of a live performance.

Noise Floor: The level of noise when no music is playing on the system. This can be due to AC hum, radio frequency interference, etc. When comparing components, the rest of the system is the same, so only the differential contribution to noise floor by the evaluated components is reported.
